went   this

time in a car

            white car

into the

monochrome suburb

            white suburb

inside the

kids watched TV

            white television

and when

number two child

            white-haired

looked up

and saw

my black

hair and

black beard

he was

afraid and

went crying

to mummy

- like

he’d never

seen anything

dark in

his life

before . . .
